This hand crafted fabric horseshoe ring bearer with Claddagh embroidery makes a wonderful way to present wedding rings on the special day.
Presenting a horseshoe to the bride is an ancient good luck tradition, so we have combined this with the modern practice of using a ring bearer.
The Claddagh ring and its customs originated in the Irish village of the same name. The design represents love, loyalty and friendship.
Measuring 20.5cm wide by 22cm long and only 5mm thick, each horseshoe has a semi flexible core made from high quality 2mm photographic mounting board. (Measurements may vary slightly)
This is then padded and covered in bridal satin and embroidered with a claddagh design at the base of the curve in a matching colour.
Tiny seed pearls are sewn on around the horseshoe. Inside the curve is trimmed with cotton lace and the outside can be trimmed with the same lace, piped in the same fabric or tartan ribbon.
Attached to the ends of the horseshoe are fine ribbons to hold the wedding rings. Another ribbon allows the horseshoe to be easily carried over the wrist. These ribbons match the outside trim.
Please see our note below on trim choice.
Generally the reverse is left without embroidery but this can be embellished too if required.
Each horseshoe comes in it’s own presentation box with acid free tissue to allow for safe, long term storage.
These artisan crafted bridal horseshoes makes a great keepsake gift and family heirloom.
Each item is made to order so please allow about 14 days delivery. Price includes delivery which will need to be signed for.
Special note on choosing trim
Self piped outer trim will be in the same fabric as the main horseshoe.
If you choose a tartan trim, we will contact you to agree tartan/colour required.
Lace trims will be the same as the inner trim. The design of the lace may vary slightly from the original photograph.
