Blackwork embroidery became popular in Tudor and Elizabethan times but has grown to become a wonderful way to create stunning embroidered art with very few supplies.
Contrary to what the name suggests, Blackwork does not have to be stitched with black threads.
It is a great way to fill in large areas in any embroidery and you can even use metallic threads.
You will learn about appropriate fabrics and threads.
Learn how to create filling stitches and shade using different thread thicknesses and part stitches.
Throughout the course you will have one to one tutor access via e.mail for 6 months.
*Access to our Facebook working group.
*Certificate upon completion.
(We make every attempt to answer e.mails the same day).
Upon completion of the course you will have all the skills needed to attempt your own pieces or more complicated works.
Delegates will receive a certificate of achievement upon submission of images of the completed project.
