Our Essential Goldwork Embroidery course can now be studied via distance learning at your own pace.
Choose to have the complete kit mailed to you or make a saving by opting for the PDF version where you can download the course booklet and use your own materials.
This course is a great way to explore the wonderful art of goldwork embroidery and is suitable for complete beginners.
You will learn about appropriate fabrics, how to transfer your design and frame up your piece ready for sewing.
Learn all the essential Goldwork techniques for application of unique threads. Discover how to use felt padding and apply metallic leather/fabric. (Vegans will be pleased to know that we use a lovely soft faux leather).
Discover the difference between the many types of Goldwork thread available and their application. We try to focus on modern threads which are more resistant to tarnish and in some cases are even washable.
Upon completion of this course you will have the necessary skills to attempt projects on your own.
Delegates will receive a certificate of achievement upon submission of images of the completed project.
