These memorial wedding Forget me Nots are a recent custom order, made from a fabric which has significance to a family member who passed.
Made in mid blue and pale shades, the fabric offered a challenge to our usual fine silk. Stiffening, cutting and shaping techniques needed to be adapted to suit.
Wiring the flowers and creating leaves
Once cut, the flowers were then wired on to fine stems.
Our client also asked for a quantity of Forget me Not leaves, so we created these as single leaves, again wired to fine stems.
The single leaves and flowers allow flexibility for the florist to include them in the wedding buttonholes, brides bouquet and flower girl posies.
A lasting memory
Fabric flowers are a great way to preserve the occasion and can easily be incorporated into flower crowns, posies, hair combs, button holes and the bridal bouquet.
Our flowers are made with no centre holes, so that they can be stitched on to garments or wired.
